Do you like easy money? Collecting Box Tops is an easy way for you to earn money for Santan. If you have any Box Tops lying around your house, or see them on products around your house, please bring them in to school and turn them in to Ms. Krohmer in room 55. Thanks for your support!

3rd Quarter Sports Banquet on March 8

The 3rd Quarter Sports Banquet will be held on Thursday, March 8 at  6:30 p.m. Tickets for the banquet are now on sale from Mrs. Bell in the front office, and reservation forms are available from your coach or Mrs. Bell. 3rd quarter athletes, mark your calendars now!

Craft Club Meeting on March 7

The next Craft Club meeting is set for Wednesday, March 7 from 4-5 p.m. in room 57. Only ten spots are available because supplies are limited. For this meeting, club members will be making a mini-scrapbook. To sign up, or if you have any questions, please see Mrs. Pires in room 57.

Spirit Week February 23-27

This week is spirit week at Santan! Be sure to show your Santan spirit by dressing up on the following spirit days:

Monday, February 27 - Pajama Day
Tuesday, February 28 - Black & White Day (wear black and white)
Wednesday, February 29 - Sports Day (wear a sports jersey or t-shirt)
Thursday, March 1 - Twin Day (wear matching clothes with a friend)
Friday, March 2 - Santan/Team Spirit Day

Safety Website, Seminars Available

The Arizona Department of Education is providing a website resource to our parents at www.azed.gov/prevention-programs/resources. This website contains valuable information and resources for our parents and families on topics such as Friendship, Dating, and Love; Helping Your Child Through Adolescence; and Ready, Set, Listen!

Additionally, the Department of Education, will sponsor an informative parent meeting with a skilled facilitator to meet with a group of approximately 20 parents to discuss issues and provide information, with the goal of increasing parent-child communication. Parents who attend the meeting receive resource kits containing books, DVDs and brochures on relevant topics. CEF Car Raffle Supports Santan

The Chandler Education Foundation is once again holding a raffle for a brand new car! The winner of the raffle can choose between a 2012 Camry SE or a 2012 Tacoma 4x2. Tickets are $20 apiece, and can be purchased online ... but when you buy your ticket from the Santan JHS administrative office, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Santan directly! You can purchase tickets at Santan through Wednesday, March 7, and the drawing will be held on Saturday, March 17 at Chandler Fashion Center (you can buy raffle tickets at Chandler Fashion Center up to a half hour before the drawing).
