January 18, 2012 6:30 was the Senior and Junior Rising night. If you missed this opportunity to learn what your student will be doing next year please view the powerpoint below. Senior Rising Night Summer Academy information will be coming in March for the high school students (incoming 9th through seniors) and for junior high students(incoming 7th and 8th graders). The high school academy will be at Perry High and the junior high school academy will be at Payne Junior High. (Junior high parents please note the new math and language arts enrichment classes to fast track your current 6th and 7th grade student into honors in the junior high.) NOTE** if your senior will not graduate with the cohort year of 2012 please make an appointment with their counselor- they must meet the new graduation requirements for the 2013 class which include one more math and one more science. ¨ IMPACT's (formerly known as Vision College Bound) open enrollment is completed for this year. Check STI to make sure your grades are entered and correct weekly. Want to keep up on your student's weekly progress?? Print off the STI Log In and call the Counseling Assistant at 480-224-2127 to get your student's ID number and PIN. Save this as a favorite and view it as often as you like! When you have a question about a grade please feel free to email the teacher for clarification. Please click on the links to the left hand side for information pertaining to your student. We are available from 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. daily.
We are located on the left hand side, south side, as you enter the Administration building. For emergencies there is a Response Counselor available in the event your alpha counselor is booked. We highly recommend meeting with your alpha counselor if at all possible so the counselor that will follow your student throughout high school is informed as to your family's needs. For an appointment please call our Guidance Assistant at 480-224-2127. Generally you and your student will be booked for a 30-minute appointment, but if you feel you need more time simply request it when scheduling the appointment. You may email at anytime and generally receive feedback within 2 workdays. Students may drop in before school, during their lunch or after school without an appointment any day. The only important item to remember is that the student must allot for enough time to accomplish their task as to not be tardy for class. Your Counselors |
