    I. Annotation Introduction-  Students were introduced to the method of annotation that will be used at ACP.  Students received a guide to keep as resource.  Students were then given an article titled "Top Ten Reasons to Learn Spanish."  We then went through the practice of annotation with this article.  
     
    II. Classzone/ Website Resources Directions- Students spent sometime learning how to access resources that they will be expected to use throughout the course.  
     
    III. Syllabus Review-  Students were given a set of questions to help them prepare for the syllabus quiz.
     
    IV. Intro of Spanish alphabet-  Students received a handout with the Spanish alphabet and appropriate pronunciation.   Students should begin practicing their pronunciation!!  Don't forget to check out the video under Spanish Classroom Links!
     
    Tarea/ Homework: Review the ABCs
     
    Life Connections
     
    I. Bell work- Students watched the video "Stuck in an escalator" and completed a quick write.
     
    II. Binder Organization-  We took a few minutes to organize student papers into their correct places as well as decide where homework will go.
     
    III. Syllabus Review-  Students were given a set of questions to help them prepare for the syllabus quiz
     
    IV.  Learning Styles Assessment-  Student took an short quiz about some of their learning habits.  They were able to find out the type of learner they are as well as some study strategies that will work best for them.
     
    V. Teacher Website Exploration-  Students had some time to explore their teacher websites and find important information and any resources that teachers have posted.
     
    VI.  Typing Practice-  Students began typing practice.

    I. Grade and discuss diagnostics exam

    Meta/Goal: Read and understand syllabus.
     
    I. Introductions/ Icebreakers- M&M get to know you.  Student shared names and information about themselves with their classmates.
     
    II. Classroom Scavenger Hunt-  Students completed a scavenger hunt based off of my room.  This was to get them comfortable and to help them to know where they important place in the classroom are.
     
    III.  Pass out and review syllabus-  Together we read the syllabus and answered any questions that students had.  If you were absent, please get a syllabus from Mrs. Michaelson.
     
    Homework/ Tarea: Read syllabus with your parent, bring back signed form showing you read the syllabus.  
                                  Have your parent fill out the Spanish 1 Parent Information Form on my website.
