    Life Connections 
    Goal: to recognize proactive and reactive personalities.
     
    I. Bellwork
     
    II. Read pages 48-50 as a class and discussed what makes a person reactive and proactive.  We also discussed how students personally respond to situations.
     
    III. Outside demonstration- Ask your students about it!
     
    IV.  Proactive vs. Reactive Worksheet- Students worked in groups to brainstorm about how to be proactive.
     
    V.  We watched the Pixar shorts "Boundin;" and "Partly Cloudy" and observed which characters had reactive personalities and proactive personalities.  We also talked about specific actions that helped us identify the personality.
     
    Homework: Habit 1 Reading Guide due 8/26

    II. Conversation-  Students have to speak in only Spanish for 8 minutes.  If you were absent, please see Señorita Michaelson for how to make this up.

    IV. Destinos 2- Write down as much as you can understand.  Turn in sheet for a grade.
     
    V.  ¡Vamos a viajar! Thinking Map.  Students used a PowerPoint to complete a thinking map about the process for taking a trip.  Students had to comprehend audio statements with visual clues of what was happening.  At the end students wrote three sentences in Spanish about traveling and turned that in for a grade.

    II. Introduction to Pronouns and Ser:  Today in class Students completed completed Cornell notes while being guided by Mrs. Michaelson through a Powerpoint presentation.  To review the PowerPoint click here!  
    • This is a FOUNDATIONAL concept that students MUST MEMORIZE!  Students should review their Cornell Notes and check that they copied down the correct information from the PowerPoint.   

    To wrap up class students received a homework practice page on subject pronouns as well as some puzzle pieces that they will use to help them study subject pronouns and conjugations of ser.
