Susan Avey holds a BAE from ASU and an ME in Educational Leadership from NAU; she has been an educator for more than thirty years.  An original member of BJHS, Miss Avey has vast knowledge of the school's history, traditions, and growth of the surrounding community.  Bogle has been Miss Avey’s professional home since 1992; she has served as teacher, dean of students, and assistant principal prior to being named principal in 2006-07. In 2009 she was recognized by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce as CUSD's Administrator of the Year.  One of the few remaining original BJHS staff members, Miss Avey has a vast knowledge of the school’s history, traditions, and growth of the surrounding community.
