Philosophy

The gifted (CATS) program at Bogle is committed to an educational program that recognizes the values, needs, and talents of the individual student.  The core subjects of social studies, language arts, mathematics, and science are integrated and differentiated from the regular classes in depth, complexity, novelty, and acceleration.  Therefore differentiation takes place in content, process, and product. 
 
Besides having their curricular certification, all of our CATS teachers have their Gifted endorcements along with their SEI endorsements.

 

Our students are challenged through a multidimensional teaching approach involving special curricula, enrichment, and the acceleration of course content as we develop a desire for excellence and a sense of individual responsibility to the school community and to a changing society.  Subjects are taught at an accelerated level and pace utilizing Bloom’s Taxonomy, Costa’s Different Levels of Questions, DOK (Depth of Knowledge), Multiple Intelligences, Socratic Seminars, technology and an integrated curriculum.
