The “PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE” Welcome to Basha Elementary School for the 2011-2012 school year! I am honored to be the principal of such an awesome school! This is my eighth year as principal of Basha Elementary and I truly enjoy being able to work with such dedicated and hard working staff. Our students are bright, inquisitive and love learning. Our parents and community members are dedicated to supporting and assisting in every way imaginable. The Basha family is a caring community that honors education and places equal value and importance on the academic and behavioral development of children. The partnership between an extremely talented, dedicated staff and a continuously supportive parent population is inspirational to me. My desire is to be a caring and innovative leader in promoting quality and equitable education for all students. I believe my charge is to make certain every child has the opportunity to learn in a safe and stimulating environment engaged in appropriately challenging work. I try to be as visible and actively engaged with students throughout each day. I believe fostering collaboration involving students, staff and parents in the leadership of the school is the key to our success. To be given the opportunity to be a leader in such a vibrant school and community is a dream come true for me. The quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson comes pretty close…“To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived…this is to have succeeded!” Finally, I would like to thank you for sending your child to Basha, a wonderful place to live and learn. If you ever have a question, concern or idea please feel free to call, email or come in and talk. Sincerely, D. Keith Falconer Basha Elementary School Principal |
