Super CATS Man was born out of the necessity to protect all students, especially the academically gifted.  He stands for justice, equality, and the right to be whoever you want to be.

Super CATS Man
But a superhero can't be a superhero all the time.  He has a true identity and his is Michael Buist.  Mr. Buist lives in Queen Creek with his wife (Melissa), two daughters (Makenna 8 and Madelyn 5), a golden retriever (Murphy), and one Himalayan cat (Macy).  There's a theme here.
This will be Mr. Buist's 16th year of teaching and his ninth with CATS.  He taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades at Galveston, Tarwater, and Ryan.  He earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan, his teaching certificate from Michigan State University, and his M Ed from Northern Arizona University.  Plus, he is certified by the State of Arizona to teach gifted students.
When Mr. Buist is not in his classroom, he's splashing in the pool with the girls (minus the dog and cat).  And if you can't find him at school or in the pool, he's out for a run, or coaching his daughter's soccer team.

If Mr. Buist can't help you, Super CATS Man is surely close by to help out.
